With Halloween headed your way this weekend, Broadway.com is celebrating by filling your online trick-or-treat bag with some past Broadway Halloween-themed video goodies! Broadway newcomer Pee-wee Herman is making the Stephen Sondheim Theatre his newest playhouse, but The Pee-Wee Herman Show doesn't mark the first time the giddy guy unleashed his crazy antics on New York City. Back in 1983 (before Pee-wee's hit TV series even hit the airwaves) Herman paid a visit to Late Night With David Letterman on Halloween. Getting into the holiday spirit, Pee-wee showed up in a pirate costume (hook hand included) to munch on some candy corn and show off his cool Halloween-themed toys. Dave had so much fun, he invited Pee-wee back the following Halloween, a guest spot that found the normally nice character in a devilish mood. Check out Letterman and Pee-wee's spooky times below!
